Zimbabwe: campaign of intimidation

Opposition Presidential candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, was released today after 8 hours in police detention for "addressing a rally without authorisation".

Mugabe must have his own version of "freedom of speech" that involves preventing the candidate who got more votes than he did in the first round of the Presidential elections from talking to rallies without his permission.

The generals in Mugabe' military have already made it clear they do not intend to support MOrgan Tsvangirai ifhe wins the June 27th final election.
