"scale and the scope of the operations in Iran, which involve the Central Intelligence Agency and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), have now been significantly expanded."
That may explain why car bombs have started going off in Tehran. This mosque exploding in April, killing 9, was probably just one more covert op directed at regime change.
US Ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker uses weasel words to deny the report:
However, US ambassador to Baghdad Ryan Crocker on Sunday flatly refuted the allegation in The New Yorker that Washington is conducting cross-border operations from Iraq into Iran.So US soldiers aren't blowing up cars and mosques. The US is funding OTHER people to do it for them.
"I can tell you flatly that US forces are not operating across the Iraqi border into Iran," he told CNN television.
As with Iraq, President Bush has ignored a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) - the conclusion of diverse US intelligence agencies:
The Bush administration's request for funding came around the same time as the December 2007 release of the National Intelligence Estimate, which said the Iran halted nuclear weapons work in 2003.US President Bush is obviously a terrorist leading a global web of terrorist organisations. He has admitted as much to the US Congress and they have approved funding for it. He and they should ultimately be treated by the global community as terrorists.
Note that they have not proven any of their claims about a nuclear programme in Iran, just as their claims about iraqi WMD were found to be fabrications. Bush and the US Congress have ignored their own intelligences agencies who advised them there is no Iranian nuclear weapons programme.
Yet they persist, funding bombings in Iran and killing innocent people. If that isn't terrorism, the word has no meaning at all.
This doesn't suprise me in the least, especially after learning how the United States had been involved in previous "red flag" operations in during the Cold War, including Operation Northwood and about their new Special Operations Unit whose objective is to provoke or "stimulate reactions" amongst terrorist organisations and states possessing "Weapons of Mass Destruction".

jamesey: It's just terrorism. Nothing more....and they are outraged when the table are turned. understandable, but insane that they can't / won't learn from it.
ReplyDelete"It's just terrorism. Nothing more....."
ReplyDeleteIts a little more complicated than that. Both sides in the Cold War used terrorists organisations as proxies against their enemies.
The Soviets used Shia organisations like Hezbollah, through their allies in Syria, Red Faction, and Baador Menhof (sp?), whilst the United States used Sunni organisations like Maktab al-Khadamat in Afghanistan against the Soviets.
"and they are outraged when the table are turned. understandable, but insane that they can't / won't learn from it."
You're failing to make a distinction between the U.S. ruling class and its citizens.
Its faux-outrage, not the genuine article.
They don't honestly care about what happens to the Average Jose, as long as they successfully carry out their objectives.
I am convined that they're certifiable sociopaths. What other explanation could there be for their actions?
Jamesey: I agree with you generally, though I will not accept two wrongs make terrorism by anyone right. I do usually take care to distinguish between the US government and its people. Yes, the leaders are sociopaths. Anyone who is obsessive / compulsive enough to seek power at that level must, almost by definition, be pathologically ill in some way. For example, Bush did not have greatness thrust upon him. He tried to steal it.
ReplyDelete"Jamesey: I agree with you generally, though I will not accept two wrongs make terrorism by anyone right."
ReplyDeleteOh I wasn't particularly clear.
I didn't mean to imply that I condone terrorism.
I'm just saying that the use of terror is merely another tool in the arsenal of the Nation State that allows them to carry out their objectives.
No different to the London Blitz or Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Its just in the form of "low intensity" warfare.
"For example, Bush did not have greatness thrust upon him. He tried to steal it."
Bush is just the puppet on the strings. Its those whose interests that he serves are the real masters.
Big Oil, Big Agra, Big Pharm, the banking interests, the chickenhawks in the neocon movement etc.
I hear you. I don't accept that terrorism is "merely another tool" available to the state.....or anyone. That's why I give bush a hard time for doing on a MUCH larger scale what he claims to find "evil" when others do it. If they are evil, so is he. As for him being a puppet, there is a lot of truth in that. But he also has a will of his own. Every day he wakes up he could resign and go into a monastery and take a vow of silence.....or make corporations more powerful and fund more state terrorism. He chooses to do the latter.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the arrival of Richard Gage in wellington November 21st how people can stick there head in the sand and not see what our governments and there masters are trying to do to us all is disgrace. time to wake up.
