The money or the bag

The latest Roy Morgan poll indicates roughly half of Kiwi voters who expressed an opinion are willing to take the bag.

Without knowing what National's policies are in any detail on pretty much any issue, the level of support Kiwis are prepared to blindly give that party is frankly amazing to me.

I've never been one for blind faith. It always surprises me when people choose to support something (deity, political party) they know little or nothing about.

The changes with respect to the last Roy Morgan poll are all well within the margin of error.

National - 52.5% (up 2%)
Labour - 31.5% (down 0.5%)
Greens - 7% (same)
NZ First - 4% (same)
Maori - 2% (down 0.5%)
UF - 0.5% (down 0.5%)

We aren't told how many people would not say, or did not know, who they would vote for, which tends to exaggerate the support expressed for each party as a proportion of the whole sample including don't knows.
