Don't do this....

Feeling a little under the weather on a Sunday morning is a dangerous time to be in command of both a stove top and an electric jug.

Having just made porridge, head full of ennui, wrapped in malaise.....I poured out the hot water into the mugs and put the jug back on it's base.

Well...I thought I did.

Getting the melted jug off the element took some effort. It was pretty well molded on by the time I noticed what I had done. We had paid $100 for this jug at Briscos just a few months ago. Fortunately, they had a replacement for the same make and model on sale at 60% off today, so it only cost $40.

Still getting over it though. *sigh*

  1. Heh. I setthe electric jug here ablaze a couple of weeks ago by turning the wrong element on the stove. Who woulda thought an oil derived material burns lol.

  2. Jamesey: Oh dear! At least the element I put it on was off and cooling down. It could have been MUCH worse if it had still been on. :-)
